Joy Parker

Joy was born and raised in Minnesota and moved from the north woods on the shore of Lake Superior to Tucson for law school.  As an Abenaki woman, Joy is privileged to study law with the renowned Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy program, focusing on social justice issues at the intersections of health and the environment.  Her favorite things to do involve endurance running, biking, or skiing; cooking delicious food to fuel long days outside, and sleeping on the ground.  Joy is at home in the cold and snow but has quickly fallen in love with the Sonoran desert and the amazing plants, animals, and people who inhabit this magical place.
